The Bag – A film not to be afraid of

"The bag" is a silent film about diversity and security for older and have been made in a collaboration between a wide range of actors in Gothenburg, such as the City of Gothenburg, the police and a variety of pensioners- and immigrant organizations. The film is made by Nasrin Pakkho who also wrote and directed the film.

The premiere was in November 23 and all 800 seats were fully booked. The film is 20 minutes long and the texts are in 12 languages. The film is accompanied by a study to be disseminated to all municipalities in Västra Götaland and the immigrant- and pensioners organizations.

Honorary Price in Brussels

The film made it to the finals of the European competition ELAC in competition with 34 contributions from nine different countries. The film received an honorable mention in the European competition ELAC when it was settled in Brussels.

In early January representatives from Tryggare och Mänskligare Göteborg, Sports and Association administration and SIOS (Co-ordinating Body for Ethnic Organizations in Sweden) went to Bonn to meet the European panel.

In February, designated the winner named "European Local Authorities Competition on Good Practice on the Support for Migrant Elders Initiative" (ELAC), which aims to improve the welfare of senior migrants.
